The Surgery Center is an accredited two-room surgery center with 24 hour overnight suites to assist patients in a safe recovery after undergoing aesthetic surgery.  This facility complements Dr. Beck’s clinic and medspa, allowing the use of state-of-the-art laser treatments while the patient is asleep for other procedures.

The Waverly Surgery Center also houses regenerative fat grafting for the face and body as an adjunct to more common procedures.

The Surgery Center is also available to other surgeons in the greater Charlotte area as an efficient and safe method to further care for patients.

Why QUAD A (Formerly AAAASF) Accreditation Matters

Rigorous, evidence-based standards

To earn QUAD A accreditation, an ambulatory surgery center must pass an exhaustive onsite survey that verifies hundreds of criteria—from emergency‐power backups and sterile processing to medication management and anesthesia protocols.

These standards are freely available so patients and providers alike can see exactly what “excellence” means (Accreditation Standards | QUAD A).

Ongoing patient-safety reporting

Accreditation isn’t a one-time test. QUAD A requires facilities to submit quarterly Patient Safety Data Reports that track every surgeon’s cases and any unanticipated events.

This real-time monitoring feeds peer-reviewed research and drives continuous improvement across the entire outpatient surgery community (Accreditation FAQ's | ASC Program | RHC Program | QUAD A).

National recognition—including Medicare

QUAD A is approved by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to accredit ambulatory surgery centers.

That federal recognition means our processes meet—or exceed—hospital-level benchmarks for quality and life-safety systems (Medicare Accreditation Programs | Ambulatory Surgery Centers | QUAD A).

 Proven safeguard against “hidden” risks

Questions often arise about how outpatient or ambulatory centers are overseen. While every state health department regulates these facilities, nearly half—including New York—require independent accreditation from one of four national bodies. Among them, QUAD A (formerly AAAASF) subjects a center to a 162-page checklist that mandates, for example, a circulating nurse in both the OR and recovery suite, board-certified surgeons, on-site crash carts, and a formal transfer agreement with a nearby hospital.

QUAD A’s past president, Dr. Geoffrey Keyes, notes that those safeguards make death rates in accredited ambulatory centers comparable to hospitals. Because Medicare also recognizes QUAD A as an official accrediting organization, its standards add a second layer of federal oversight, turning an ordinary office-based facility into one that meets some of the nation’s strictest patient-safety benchmarks (Time: Joan Rivers' Death Raises Questions About Outpatient Care Centers).
