    What is the recovery after HydraFacial?

    There is no downtime after HydraFacial treatments. Avoid direct sun exposure and tanning beds for several days. During this time, do not take Retin-A or acne medications or apply exfoliants to your skin. However, you can apply makeup the day after your treatment.

    HydraFacial results typically last a few weeks to a month. To maintain their results and youthful glow, most patients schedule monthly HydraFacial treatments.

    LED Light Therapy

    LED (or Light Emitting Diode) Therapy is available in different wavelengths as an added benefit during your HydraFacial treatment, to treat a variety of skin problems. Blue light is particularly effective at zapping bacteria, which causes breakouts and blemishes for a brighter complexion. Red light is beneficial for anti-aging, stimulating the production of collagen and elastin to smooth lines and wrinkles, improve uneven skin tone and hyperpigmentation, and firm aging skin that is beginning to lose its elasticity. LED light therapy can enhance the skin-beautifying benefits of our other treatments.

    Dermaplaning

    Right now, you have layers of dead skin cells sitting on the surface of your skin. These cells contribute to the visible signs of aging, including lines and creases, dull skin tone, uneven texture, hyperpigmentation, or blemishes. Dermaplaning is a method of physical exfoliation that is performed using a specialized scalpel. The tool is held at a 45-degree angle to the surface of your skin to gently slough away layers of dead skin cells and vellus hair revealing baby-soft skin underneath. Once the dead skin cells have been swept away, your skincare products become more effective, makeup can be applied more smoothly, and your skin is left with a healthy, fresh glow.

    Recovery following facial treatments

    Recovery from a customized Hydrafacial or our custom clinical facial will vary depending on what therapy was performed on your skin. The majority of our facial treatments have little to no recovery time. After your treatment, ensure you apply a moisturizer with sunscreen to protect your skin from the sun’s damaging ultraviolet rays. If you have had a chemical peel, you will experience peeling as the skin sheds in the days following your treatment, which subsides within a week.
